Lag Baomer is the day that Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai passed away.  Each year on Lag Baomer we celebrate Rabbi's Shimon's life and the revelation of the esoteric soul of Torah.  He was the first to publicly teach the mystical dimension of the Torah known as Kabbalah, and is the author of the classic text of Kabbalah, the Zohar.   We celebrate the warmth of Judaism, and the warmth of the Torah, by sitting around the warmth of a fire.   Lag Baomer also commemorates another joyous event.  Click here to learn more about it.
